An old and trusted variety (from 1880) for sauerkraut and fresh use. The large, flattened oval cabbages reach approx. 3 kg in weight, and contain various minerals and vitamins B and C. Sow in a greenhouse or outside in soil blocks of 5 cm. Transplant in May/June in well worked and lightly fertilized soil. Cultivate each year in a different spot. Use anti-insect nets to protect young plants against cabbage midge.
