This evergreen, herbaceous subshrub is usually regarded as an annual. The fern-like leaves will close by drooping downwards, then open once more after a few minutes. The plant has a prickly stem and produces downy, round pink flowers. Sow inside the house in pots, allow to germinate at room temperature. Allow to grow a little before pricking out in pots.
