A well-known and favourite French variety from 1817. Fruits are covered by impressive orange, red, white and green stripes. The plants can grow up to 3 metres. If a runner gets too long, cut vigorously, which helps to keep the plant in check. Sow in warm conditions in a greenhouse in pots or seed trays, harden and transplant. Gourds prefer fertile soil. Take care of night frost.
