Garden Geraniums are hybrids of the South African Pelargonium zonale. Flowers are pink, red, lilac, red-white, white-red, Bordeaux, salmon and other varieties. Geraniums used to be mainly for window sills but are now also popular as colourful pot plants in the garden or veranda. Sow indoors in the warmth.
