One of our oldest cultivated plants. A favourite due to its tall stems, and bell-shaped flowers with their fringed petals. A biennial plant whose flowers appear in the summer following the year of sowing. It has wonderful colours, including apricot, chestnut brown, pale yellow and cream variations. Sow in a seedbed, thin out and then later transplant.
