Plant with lance-like leaves from the mountains of Europe. Produces large, attractive flowers with a yellow heart from the end of spring to the middle of summer. The mixture generally consists of blue tints and white. A popular, winter-hardy rock plant. Sow in a seedbed or seed-tray, later prick out and when reasonably sturdy transplant to final spot.
