Native of Holland. Also referred to as “Field Scabious”. A really fantastic butterfly and insect attraction due to the large amount of nectar the flower off ers. The light purple flower grows to about 4 cm and has many stamens with dozens of petals. A rather rare perennial plant that is mainly seen in the dunes along the North Sea coast because of the somewhat limy sandy soil.
