Delightful fragrance! First introduced in 1699 from Sicily. It is a compact, sturdy type with splendid two-coloured flowers in purple and dark brown. This is the original species from which all other sweet peas arose. Requires well-tilled and fertilized soil. Soak seeds for 6 hours before sowing.
