Prairie Dropseed
A wonderfully soft ornamental grass with overhanging fresh green leaves that turn a beautiful golden yellow in the autumn. Melic spreads a deliciously sweet fragrance on hot days.
Sow from the end of March in a growbox at 15-20C° or later in the year outside in a seedbed. Cover lightly and do not let the soil dry out. Prick out the plants in small groups as soon as the seedlings have developed sufficient roots. Then plant them in a larger pot or directly at their destination. Grasses like well-drained soil; avoid it getting too wet in winter.
