Bear’s breeches
Pre-sow indoors in January and prick out from March, start at room temperature. Sow outdoors in a seedbed from mid-May to late June and transplant from September to October. A stately perennial with ornamental value due to its large leaves and spiky flowers which bloom with pink/white flowers and purple bracts in summer. The flowers remain decorative for a long time in autumn. The spikes are also very beautiful as cut flowers or dried flowers.
