Cornflower - Wild
The wild cornflower is a beautiful sky-blue annual flower that used to be common in Dutch fields. Sow outdoors from late March to late May; broadcast sow or sow in rows and then thin out slightly. Richly flowering and easy to grow cut flower that lasts a long time in a vase. It is gorgeous in cut flower gardens and suitable for borders and naturalising. The flowers are edible and delicious in a salad or herb butter.
