Cornflower
The wild cornflower is a beautiful sky-blue annual flower that used to be common in the fields. Sow outdoors from late March to late May; scatter or sow in rows and then thin out slightly. Native species are much more attractive to pollinating insects. The stamens of this type contain more pollen, and the flowers are richly filled with nectar. The flowers are edible. Sow in open ground. Blooms from June to October.
Essential flowers for the flora & fauna in our environment.
