Catnip
This catnip, also known as Nepeta, is a perennial plant with a lovely herb fragrance that cats love and enjoy lying in the middle of. Catnip is related to mint and contains the substance nepetalactone, which stimulates Jacobson’s organ in cats and produces a temporary euphoric, sometimes hallucinogenic
reaction. The plant withstands extreme weather conditions such as long dry periods well. This makes it easy to maintain and beautiful in borders and along edges. It also attracts butterflies and bees.
