Rosemary is Latin for Dew of the Sea (Ros meaning dew, and marinus from the sea) and is a slow grower. Eventually develops into an attractive perennial herb shrub, with the pleasant added bonus of attractive light blue flowers. Also a good plant for bees and butterflies. A great herb for when roasting and grilling, thanks to its aromatic fragrance and flavour. Can be harvested throughout the year. Sow in a greenhouse. When plants are sufficiently large transplant into the garden or into pots. Germinates and grows slowly.
